How I can developter a camping map

How I can develop a platform map about information about camping? I am looking for something similar in roadtrippers.com with camping layers.
I recently arrived in developments like this and I appreciate your help to start this initiation.

Gather campground data and
Gather campground data and put it on the MapQuest map. Then tell me all about it. I've been looking for a comprehensive campground map for 20 years. I suspect the challenge is gathering data. Displaying it would be relatively simple.
