403 when loading from .xyz domain

Anyone find a work around to load the API scripts from a .xyz domain without getting forbidden (403)?

I am trying to evaluate MapQuest's Leaflet API but can't get it to load the main scripts. They will load when using the URL directly in a browser window or when I made a simple test HTML file and loaded it as a file in Chrome. In my application it gets a 403 everytime.

The domain .xyz is not changable. The port number is not changable. This is a small part of a much larger .NET MVC/javascript application.

Thank you in advance for any ideas or suggestions.

Yes. Thank you.

Yes. Thank you.

For anyone else who looks this up it was that the API key was restricted to a referrer using HTTP whereas I my aplication is using HTTPS. What fixed it was changing the restriction to allow a HTTPS referrer.
